In an effort to bring the quality of our putting surfaces back up to the high standards set this spring for the Stadion Classic at UGA, the University Golf Course will have to close for a short period this fall.  The steps that will be taken are as follows:

September 1st and 2nd - The golf course will be closed for green aerification and interseeding with bentgrass.

September 3rd through September 19th - The golf course will be open.

FALL 2010 After School Program

The University of Georgia Golf Course After School Program is designed for children from 7-13 years of age.  Fundamentals of the full swing, short game, and putting will be covered.  The student to instructor ratio will be a maximum of 8 to 1.  Every session will meet at the UGA GC Driving Range, which is the first parking lot on the left once you enter the golf course front gate.  Please call the golf shop at 706-369-5739 to sign up.

ATHENS, Ga., December 9, 2009 – Local not-for profits will have the opportunity to add thousands of dollars to their bottom line thanks to an innovative partnership with the Stadion Athens Classic at UGA and the PGA TOUR. 

The Nationwide Tour event is participating in the TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ program, which has raised more than $4 million for not-for-profits in other PGA TOUR communities.  The Stadion Athens Classic at UGA is scheduled for April 26-May 2 at the University of Georgia golf course.
