Tips from the Pros

 

Grip
  • The palms of both hands should be parallel or clap position.
Grip Pressure
  • Hold a tube of tooth paste with the lid off. Don't squirt any out.
Posture
  • To insure a balanced posture you should be able to curl your toes in your shoes.
Alignment
  • Imagine standing on railroad tracks. Everything is parallel.
Greenside Bunker
  • Grip your hands toward the end of the grip to insure a sand first splash.
Fairway Bunker
  • Grip one inch down to insure a ball first strike.
The Three "L's" of Bunker Shots
  • Consider the Lie of the ball, the Lip of the bunker and the Length of the shot.
Draw Tee Shot
  • Tee the golf ball slightly higher.
Fade Tee Shot
  • Tee the golf ball slightly lower.
Low Shot
  • Select one club more and swing 60% speed. Swing easy when it's breezy!
Practice Range
  • No person practices enough pitches, chips, and putts. Including the professionals! 
Course Management
  • When laying up, LAY UP!
